EW30WD55GS
Electrolux EW30WD55GS Touch Warmer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Touch control response
- Heating element and thermostat
- Humidity setting behavior
- Glides under a full drawer
Here is a Wave-Touch warming drawer, 30 inches wide and 1.6 cubic feet inside, the EW30WD55GS, from an earlier Electrolux generation. It is no longer built, which makes it an older machine, and it is still used in many built-in kitchens around Houston.
The electronic touch control and the humidity setting get the most attention from us. When the drawer does not respond to a touch, we start with power and the control board. When the drawer heats unevenly or runs outside its 80 to 210 degree F range, we test the thermostat and element and compare the heat with a thermometer.
With revisions EW30WD55GS1, EW30WD55GS2 and EW30WD55GS3 in circulation, we match each part to the nameplate on your drawer. Nothing starts until the estimate is in your hand, and the repair is guaranteed for 30 days.

What controls does the EW30WD55GS use?
It uses an electronic touch control with humidity adjustment. If a touch does nothing, we check power to the drawer, then the control, before suggesting a part or giving you a written price.
How hot does this warming drawer get?
The listed range is 80 to 210 degrees F. If it will not reach a setting or the heat is uneven, we measure the temperature inside, then test the thermostat and element.
Can an older touch-control drawer be repaired?
Usually, as long as the control or heating part can be found. We confirm the revision from the label, quote in writing, and tell you if the bill outweighs what this drawer is worth.
