Cooktop Repair in Houston

Electrolux cooktops include induction, electric radiant and gas models. We repair burners, elements, touch controls and ignition problems on newer and older built-in cooktops, including older units that are no longer made, across the Houston area.

01What goes wrong

Common cooktop problems we fix

In the order we see them across Houston homes.

01

Burner not lighting or clicking constantly

02

Induction zone staying cold or cutting out

03

Touch controls unresponsive or beeping

04

Zone heating weakly or unevenly

05

Cooktop glass cracked or chipped

06

Error code flashing on the controls

Electrolux cooktops cover induction, radiant electric and gas designs, set into countertops. Induction zones use coils and a power module under the glass, radiant zones use heating elements, and gas burners use igniters and valves. Touch controls are common on newer models.

Spills, humidity and heat affect each type differently. Boil-overs can reach igniters, controls and the sensing parts under the glass, and humid kitchens add moisture to the electronics. Houston power surges after storms can also damage induction controls.

We check the power supply, then the zone or burner, the igniter, the controls and any code on the display. For older cooktops outside warranty, we say whether a repair is sensible or whether a new cooktop is the better value.

05Cooktop questions
My induction cooktop will not heat a pot. Why?

Induction works only with cookware that has a magnetic base and rests flat on the glass. If the pot is suitable and the zone still stays off, the cause may be the power supply, the coil or the control. We test those in order.

Why is my gas burner clicking nonstop?

Food or moisture on the igniter or burner cap can make it click continuously. Turn it off, let it dry, and clean the cap. If it persists, the igniter or switch may be worn. A gas smell is different; leave and call your utility.

Is it worth replacing a cracked glass cooktop?

A cracked surface is not safe to use. The answer depends on the model and the cost of the glass versus a new cooktop. We tell you which is more sensible for your cooktop's age.
