EW30CC55GS
Electrolux EW30CC55GS Hybrid Cooktop Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Induction zone that ignores a pan
- Radiant zone that stays cold
- Display that beeps or shows an error
- Fan that runs loudly after use
A hybrid cooktop mixes radiant and induction zones on one glass surface, and the EW30CC55GS is a 30-inch example. The same number also appears with GB and GW endings for other finishes. Electrolux has discontinued it, so it is an older cooktop, but one that is still fully repairable when we can find the right parts.
The two kinds of zone need different tests. For a radiant zone we check the element and its switch the way we would on any glass cooktop. For an induction zone we test with a magnetic pan, listen for the fan and look at the electronics. Knowing which zone is misbehaving tells us right away which side of the cooktop to open.
Finishes share the same base number, but we still read the full label before ordering a part. We give you the cost in writing first, and we say plainly when the price of a part leaves replacement as the smarter choice. Work is guaranteed for 30 days.

What is a hybrid cooktop?
The EW30CC55GS has both radiant and induction zones on one glass surface. Radiant zones heat any pan, while induction zones work only with magnetic cookware, so we test each zone in the way that suits it.
Why does the induction zone ignore my pan but the radiant zone works?
Pan detection is a feature of the induction side, so a zone that ignores a magnetic pan may have a problem with its sensing or electronics. We test with a known pan first, then check the zone.
Do the GB, GS and GW versions share parts?
They are finishes of the same cooktop, but we do not assume every part is identical. We read the label to confirm your exact number before ordering.
