What SLP / nSL means
SLP and nSL are display sleep messages on Electrolux wine coolers and beverage centers with an OK status window, such as the E24WC50QS, EI24WC10QS and EI24BC10QS. SLP means display sleep is on and nSL means display sleep is off. They are not error codes. With sleep on, the display may go dark after a while to save light, which can look like a dead panel when the cooler is working normally.
Common causes of SLP / nSL
- Display sleep was switched on from the keypad
- A dark display mistaken for a power problem
1. Touch the keypad to wake the display. 2. Look for SLP or nSL to see which setting is active. 3. Turn display sleep off with the keys in your use guide if you prefer a lit display. 4. If the display stays dark, check that the cooler is plugged in and call us.
- A dark display can also be a power or control problem, so we test those if the cooler is not cooling.
- We check that the cooler holds the set temperature.
- A repair, if needed, is priced in writing beforehand and guaranteed for 30 days.

Is SLP an error?
No. It tells you display sleep is on, so the panel can dim or go dark when not in use. The cooler keeps working normally, and nothing needs to be repaired.
What does nSL mean?
It confirms display sleep is off, so the display stays lit. It is only a setting, and you can switch back to sleep whenever you like using the keys in your use guide.
How do I know a dark display is only sleep?
Touch the keypad. If the display wakes and the cabinet is cold, it was sleeping. If nothing happens, check the plug and call us so we can test the power and the control.
Still unsure about SLP / nSL?
