What Power Failure (alarm) means
The Power Failure indicator flashes on Electrolux wine coolers and beverage centers with an OK status window, models such as the E24WC50QS, EI24WC10QS and EI24BC10QS, when power was interrupted. No tone sounds. It is a notice that the cooler lost power, and the wine may have warmed in the meantime. It is not an error code. The indicator is reset with the On/Off key.
Common causes of Power Failure (alarm)
- A power outage or tripped breaker
- A loose plug or outlet
- A power strip or switch that was turned off
1. Press the On/Off key to reset the indicator. 2. Check that the plug is firmly in the outlet and the breaker has not tripped. 3. Watch the temperature to confirm the cooler returns to its set point. 4. If the light flashes again without an outage, call us.
- If the light returns with steady power, we test the outlet, the cord and the control.
- We check that the cooler returns to its set temperature.
- A written price comes first, and we warrant our workmanship for 30 days.

Why is there no tone?
This alert only flashes the indicator and does not make a sound. That makes it easy to miss, so check the light after any outage or after the breaker has tripped.
How do I clear it?
Press the On/Off key. If the light flashes again with steady power, there may be a loose connection or a control problem, and we can test both.
Should I check my wine?
Yes, if the outage was long. Check the cabinet temperature before serving anything stored during the outage, and move valuable bottles if the cabinet is still warm.
