What LO / UL means
LO and UL on an Electrolux ICON built-in all-refrigerator column with the Custom Set control, such as the E32AR85PQS or EI32AR80QS, are control lock messages. Holding CONTROL LOCK for three seconds locks the keys, and LO flashes for about a second. Holding it again for three seconds unlocks them and UL flashes. LO also shows when a key is pressed while locked. These are not errors.
Common causes of LO / UL
- The control lock was turned on or off by a key hold
- A key pressed during cleaning
1. To unlock, hold the CONTROL LOCK key for three seconds. 2. Watch for UL to show on the display for about a second. 3. Wipe the control with a soft dry cloth so no key is pressed. 4. Try changing a setting. If the keys still do not respond, call us.
- If the keys stay dead after unlocking, we test the keypad and control.
- We check that the display responds normally.
Other Refrigerator codes
Is LO a low temperature warning on this refrigerator?
On this control it means the keys are locked. It is not a temperature message, so there is no cooling problem to chase. Hold CONTROL LOCK for three seconds to unlock.
What does UL mean?
UL flashes for about a second to confirm the control is unlocked and the keys work again. It is simply the confirmation that your three-second hold worked.
Why does LO flash when I touch a key?
While the control is locked, any key press shows LO for a moment. This is normal. Unlock the control to change a setting, and leave it locked to stop accidental changes.
