What E7 means
On an Electrolux ICON built-in all-refrigerator column with the Custom Set control, such as the E32AR85PQS or EI32AR80QS, E7 is the stuck key alarm. The control has felt one key pressed for over 30 seconds. It beeps for as long as a minute, and the display swaps between E7 and 33 F. Until the key reads normally again, the column cools to a factory-set temperature, not to your own setting.
Common causes of E7
- A touch key held down or stuck on the control
- Moisture or grime pressing on the keypad
- The control keypad itself
1. Press ALARM OFF to quiet the beeping. 2. Gently wipe the keypad with a soft dry cloth and check that nothing leans on it. 3. Leave the control alone for a few minutes and watch the display. 4. If E7 appears again, call us.
- If a key really is stuck, cleaning may not release it, and we test the keypad.
- We confirm the unit holds its temperature while the alarm is active.
Other Refrigerator codes
Is my food safe with E7 showing?
The unit keeps running at its factory-set temperature, so food usually stays cold. Check with a thermometer if you are unsure, especially if the alarm has been on for a long time.
Why does the display alternate E7 and 33 F?
While the stuck key alarm is active, the display shows E7 and 33 F in turn. The unit holds a factory-set temperature until the key reading is cleared.
How do I stop the beeping from E7?
Press ALARM OFF. The alarm also stops by itself after one minute. If E7 returns after you leave the control alone, the keypad or the control needs to be tested.
