What Power Fail means

POWER FAIL is a light on the Custom Set control of an Electrolux ICON built-in all-refrigerator column, such as the E32AR85PQS or EI32AR65JS. It records that the power went out and the inside climbed above 55 F. When the outage ran longer than an hour, the display flips between how long it lasted and how warm the cabinet got. The light reports what already happened and does not by itself mean a part has broken.

Is my food safe after the POWER FAIL light comes on?

Look at the temperature the display shows. If the cabinet stayed above 55 F for long, use your judgment about perishable food, and discard anything you are unsure about.

What do the alternating numbers on the display mean?

If the outage lasted more than an hour, the display alternates the length of the outage with the highest cabinet temperature, so you can see how long and how warm it got.

How do I clear the POWER FAIL light?

Press ALARM OFF. If the light returns without a power outage, check the plug and breaker, and call us so we can look at the supply and the control.
