What 34 / 74 means

These two codes appear on Electrolux Wave-Touch induction built-in slide-in ranges, such as the EW30IS65JS and EW30IS6CJS. Code 34 means the internal generator for the left cooking zones is having a communication error, and code 74 means the same for the right zones. The generator and the cooktop control exchange data constantly, and when that exchange breaks down, the control stops that side. The display shows the code and the zones on that side go cold.

What is the difference between 34 and 74?

The number tells you which side reported it. Code 34 is the left cooking zones and code 74 is the right cooking zones, with the same type of communication error.

Can a spill cause this?

It can if liquid reached the electronics under the glass. If you think that happened, keep the range off and let us inspect it rather than test it repeatedly.

Should I reset it a few times?
