E30GF74GPS
Electrolux E30GF74GPS Gas Range Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Oven igniter that glows but is too weak to open the gas valve
- Spark module that clicks without lighting a burner
- Oven door hinges that have worn
- Convection fan that scrapes or squeals
Four sealed burners, a low simmer setting and a gas convection oven make up the E30GF74GPS, a 30-inch all-gas pro-style range from the Electrolux Icon line. Electrolux has dropped it from the lineup, but many Houston cooks use one every day.
An all-gas range has no oven elements to fail. Instead, the oven depends on a glow-bar igniter that has to draw enough current to open the gas valve. When that igniter ages, it can glow bright and still be too weak, so the oven never lights. We test the igniter’s current before replacing it, then look at the burner spark module and the oven door hinges.
The complete model and serial come off the label first, then we order. You approve a written price before we start. If worn parts pile up on an old range, we explain that a repair may not be the smart choice.

My oven igniter glows but the oven does not light. Why?
The igniter may be weak. It has to pull enough current to open the gas valve, and an old one often does not. We measure it and replace it if it fails the test. The price is quoted first.
Can you fix a burner that clicks but does not catch?
Yes. We check the cap, the electrode and the spark module. A wet or dirty electrode is common. If the module has failed, we replace it after confirming the model number on the label.
Is it safe to use the range if the convection fan squeals?
The burners and the oven still work, but the noise means something is rubbing or wearing. We would inspect it soon. We check the blade, the motor and the bearings, then quote a repair.
