What AF means
AF is a reminder on the Electrolux ICON under-counter wine cooler, models such as the E24WC75HPS and E24WC75HSS. It comes on after six months to tell you the air filter is due for a change. It is not an error and the cooler is not broken. You will see AF on the display while the wine keeps cooling as usual. Once the filter is changed, the reminder is cleared from the keypad.
Common causes of AF
- The six-month filter timer has run out
- The reminder was not cleared after the last filter change
1. Replace the air filter with a new one made for your cooler. 2. Press and hold the On/Off key together with the minus key for three seconds. 3. Check that AF disappears from the display. 4. If AF returns right away or the keypad does not respond, call us.
- If AF will not clear after a filter change, we check the keypad and the control, not the filter.
- We also look at the temperature the cooler holds while we are there.
- Any repair is priced in writing first and warranted for 30 days.
Other Wine Cooler codes
Does AF mean the cooler has a problem?
No. It is a timed reminder that appears after six months so the air filter gets changed. Your wine is not at risk because of this message alone.
How do I reset it?
After you change the filter, hold the On/Off key and the minus key together for three seconds. The AF message should go out, and the six-month count starts again.
What if AF keeps coming back?
Then the reset may not be registering, and the keypad or control needs a look. We test it and tell you whether a repair makes sense.
Still unsure about AF?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
