What Loc / nLc means
Loc and nLc are control lock messages on Electrolux wine coolers and beverage centers with an OK status window, models such as the E24WC50QS, EI24WC10QS and EI24BC10QS. Loc tells you the control lock is on, and nLc tells you it is off. They are not error codes. While the lock is on, the keypad ignores changes to the temperature and other settings, but the cooler keeps cooling.
Common causes of Loc / nLc
- The lock was turned on from the keypad
- The keypad was touched during cleaning
1. Read the display to see whether it shows Loc or nLc. 2. If Loc is showing and you want to change a setting, turn the lock off with the keys described in your use guide. 3. Confirm the display now reads nLc. 4. If the keypad still ignores you, call us.
- When the keys stay unresponsive with the lock off, the keypad and control are tested.
- We make sure the cooler holds the temperature you set.
- A written price comes first for any repair, and our labor has a 30-day warranty.

Does Loc signal trouble?
No. The control lock is simply on so that settings cannot be changed by accident. The cooler keeps working normally while locked, and nothing needs to be repaired.
What does nLc tell me?
It confirms the lock has been turned off, so you can change settings again as soon as it appears on the display. Nothing is wrong when you see it.
Why would anyone use the lock?
It keeps children or a stray touch from changing the temperature. If you do not want that, leave it off. If the keys still do not respond, call us.
