What Power fail indicator means
The power fail indicator blinks on the Electrolux ICON under-counter wine cooler, models such as the E24WC75HPS and E24WC75HSS, after a power failure or on the first power-up. The alarm sounds and other functions stay disabled until you acknowledge it with the mute sounds key. It tells you the cooler lost power, and the wine may have warmed up in the meantime. It is not an error code.
Common causes of Power fail indicator
- A power outage or tripped breaker
- A loose plug or outlet
- The first power-up after installation or a move
1. Press the mute sounds key to acknowledge the alarm. 2. Check that the plug is firmly in the outlet and the breaker has not tripped. 3. Watch the temperature to confirm the cooler returns to its setting. 4. If the indicator comes back without an outage, call us.
- If the indicator keeps returning with steady power, we test the outlet, the cord and the control.
- We check that the cooler returns to the set temperature.
- You see a written price before we begin, and the repair is warranted for 30 days.
Other Wine Cooler codes
Why are the other functions disabled?
After a power failure or first power-up, the cooler waits for you to acknowledge the alarm with the mute sounds key. Once you do, the normal functions return and the display works as usual.
Is my wine safe after an outage?
It depends on how long the power was off and how warm the room is. Check the cabinet temperature and the bottles before serving anything that was stored during the outage.
What if there was no outage?
A loose plug or a power supply problem could be behind it. We test the outlet, the cord and the cooler's control, and tell you what we find before any repair.
