What Temp (alarm) means
The Temp alarm appears on Electrolux wine coolers and beverage centers with an OK status window, such as the E24WC50QS, EI24WC10QS and EI24BC10QS, when the compartment is more than 10 F away from the set point for more than an hour. The OK indicator goes off, Temp flashes and a tone sounds every 60 seconds. It points to a cabinet that is not holding temperature. The alarm is reset with the On/Off key.
Common causes of Temp (alarm)
- The door was left open or does not seal
- A large load of warm bottles
- Poor airflow around the cooler
- A cooling or temperature sensing problem
1. Press the On/Off key to reset the alarm. 2. Close the door fully and check nothing keeps it from sealing. 3. Leave room around the cooler for airflow and do not load many warm bottles at once. 4. If Temp flashes again, call us.
- Resetting only silences the alarm, so we check why the cabinet drifted from its set point.
- We look at the door seal, airflow and the cooling itself.
- The price is written down before we work, and our repair has a 30-day guarantee.

How far off is the temperature?
The alarm comes on when the compartment is more than 10 F from the set point for over an hour, so it is a real drift and not a brief change from opening the door.
Will resetting fix it?
Pressing On/Off clears the alarm, but the cause remains. If Temp comes back, the cooler needs to be tested, and we check the seal, airflow and cooling.
Is my wine at risk?
If the cabinet stays warm for a long time, yes. Move valuable bottles somewhere cool until the cooler is checked, and tell us how long the alarm lasted when you call.
