What F25 means

Electrolux Wave-Touch and IQ-Touch ranges, freestanding or slide-in, including the induction EW30IS65JS and the EW30ES65GS and EW30GS65GS, display F25 when no zero-cross signal is detected on the convection fan and oven lights control board. That signal is a timing reference, and it is tied to the incoming power connection on the board. The oven may stop and the fan or lights may not work. Radiant and gas slide-ins use it as well.

Common causes of F25

  • Power connection to the fan and lights board
  • Convection fan and lights control board
  • Oven control board
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Press any key and check whether the code clears. 2. Flip the range breaker off for half a minute, then flip it back on. 3. Check whether the oven light works. 4. If F25 returns, leave the oven off and call us.

! Why to stop there
  • A missing timing signal can come from the incoming connection, the fan board or the control, so we check the connection first.
  • We measure the supply only with the range prepared safely.
  • You approve a written price before anything is replaced, and the work is backed by 30 days of coverage.
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
F25F25 questions
What is the zero-cross signal for?

The fan and lights board uses a timing pulse taken from the incoming power to decide when to switch. If that pulse is missing, the control displays F25.

Does a loose wire cause F25?

Yes, it can. A poor connection at the board can stop the signal, and a connection is the most economical fix, so it is the first place we look.

How does F25 differ from F23?

They are separate codes. F23 is a lost communication link, and F25 is a missing timing signal. Both involve the fan and lights board, so we test the board and its wiring together.
