What F94 means

F94 closes out the F90 to F94 group that the Electrolux owner guide calls a door lock issue. It appears on the oven display when the control cannot get a normal answer from the door lock. The oven may refuse to heat, and a self-clean cycle may stop with the door still locked. The guide treats all five codes alike, so we find the real cause by testing the lock and its wiring on your range.

Common causes of F94

  • The door lock motor or latch switch
  • The connector and wiring between the lock and the control
  • The oven control board
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Turn the range off at the breaker for up to 30 seconds, then turn it back on. 2. Let the oven cool completely if it was heating or cleaning. 3. Look at the door and latch for anything that blocks them. 4. If F94 comes back, leave the oven off and call us.

! Why to stop there
  • The code shows a lock problem but not which part, so we test the circuit step by step.
  • We check wiring and the latch before a board is considered.
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
F94F94 questions
What if the door is locked and will not open?

Let the oven cool, try one power reset, and do not force the door. If it stays locked, call us. We will release it safely and then test the lock before you use it again.

Will F94 go away by itself?

It can after a reset if it was a one-time glitch. A code that keeps returning means the lock circuit needs a proper test, and more resets only delay getting the oven working.

Do you work on older Electrolux ranges?

Yes. Many of these ranges are still in Houston homes. We repair them and tell you honestly when a repair no longer makes sense for the age and condition of the oven.
