What H° / L° means
H° and L° are the high and low temperature alerts on the Electrolux 5.1 cubic foot wine cooler and beverage center, models such as the EI24WC15VS and EI24BC15VS. H° means the temperature you set has been exceeded for six hours, and L° means it has not been reached for six hours. The alert icon blinks while the alert is active. This points to a cooler that is not holding its set temperature.
Common causes of H° / L°
- The door was left open or does not seal
- Heavy loading with warm bottles
- Poor airflow around the cooler or a blocked vent
- A temperature sensing or cooling problem
1. Close the door firmly and check that nothing keeps it from sealing. 2. Give the cooler room around the vents and avoid loading many warm bottles at once. 3. Check the set temperature is what you meant to set. 4. If H° or L° stays on after several hours, call us.
- An alert that lasts six hours means the cooler is truly off target, so we check cooling and temperature sensing, not just the setting.
- We look at airflow and the door seal.

How long does it take for H° or L° to show?
The alert comes on after the cabinet has been above or below your set temperature for six hours. It is not an instant warning, so it points to a real, lasting problem with holding temperature.
Can I just reset it?
The alert clears once the temperature is back on target. Resetting does not fix the cause, so check whether the cooler returns to the set temperature and call us if it does not.
Are my bottles at risk?
A long high-temperature alert can affect wine. Move valuable bottles to a safe, cool place until we have looked at the cooler and found out why it drifted.
