Electrolux E36GF76JPS Min-2-Max Range Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Dual-ring burner that lights only one ring
- Oven igniter failure
- Convection fan that is noisy or slow
- Self-clean lock that will not let go
Six sealed burners, an 18,000 BTU Min-2-Max dual-ring burner and a 6.4 cubic foot European convection oven with self-clean make up the E36GF76JPS, a 36-inch pro-style gas range from the Icon line. It converts to LP. Electrolux no longer makes it.
The Min-2-Max burner is the part owners tend to notice, because it has two rings that should light together. When only one ring lights, the cause is often a dirty or misplaced ring, a weak spark at the second electrode or a clogged port. We check that first. In the oven, we test the igniter, the convection fan and the lock for self-clean.
The letters after JPS on the label tell us the revision, and that picks the igniter and module we order. You approve the quote before work begins, and a one-month workmanship warranty follows. Converted the range to LP? Tell us, since the burner orifices matter.

Why does only one ring of my Min-2-Max burner light?
The outer ring may be dirty, misaligned or missing its spark. We clean the ports, reseat the ring and test the electrode. If the module is weak, we replace it after quoting the price.
Does LP gas change how you service this range?
Yes. An LP range uses different orifices and pressure. We check which fuel the range is set up for before adjusting flames, so burners are not running too high or too low.
My self-clean finished but the door will not open. Why?
Give the oven time to cool. A door that stays shut points to the lock motor or its switch, so we test both and name a price before replacing either.
