Electrolux built the EI30ES55LB as the black version of its 30-inch electric slide-in range, with a white twin, the EI30ES55LW. Two builds, LBA and LBB, were made. Production is over, and many of these ranges are still working in Houston kitchens.
The color is not the only thing that can differ here. The two builds can use slightly different parts, which matters when we order a keypad or a control. For repairs, we begin with the keypad connector and the oven sensor, then test the elements. On an electric slide-in, we also look at the power connection behind the range, since a loose one affects the elements and the controls.

Is the EI30ES55LB different from the LW?
Only the finish changes. LB is the black one and LW the white one. Trim parts and glass differ between them, so the label tells us what to order.
The keypad on my slide-in range stopped responding. What do you check?
The keypad ribbon and connector get checked first, then the control board. If either one has failed, we see whether a replacement still exists for an older range before naming a price.
Why does my oven bake unevenly?
A drifting sensor or a weak bake element are the usual causes. We check the oven with a thermometer, test both parts and replace only the one that has failed.
