EI30GS55LB
Electrolux EI30GS55LB Slide-In Gas Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Igniter that is slow or weak
- Oven door that stays shut once the clean cycle ends
- Control that does not respond or shows an error
- Burners that light unevenly
Electrolux sold a black and a white version of this 30-inch natural gas slide-in range: the EI30GS55LB and the EI30GS55LW. Both have sealed top burners and came in LBA and LBB builds. Production has ended, but many remain in service.
For a gas slide-in, we begin with the igniter, which is the part that wears most. Then we check the door lock, since a lock that never lets go after a clean keeps the oven from running or opening. The control is the last stop. We test the connections first, because heat can loosen them, and then the board.
Black and white versions use different trim and glass, and the two builds can differ in parts, so we read the number from the label first. A written price comes before the work, with a 30-day warranty.

Is the white EI30GS55LW a different range?
Color only: the LB is finished in black, the LW in white. The range works the same way, but panels and glass differ. We use the label to order the right ones.
The oven door will not open after cleaning. What do you do?
Let the oven cool first. If it stays latched, we test the lock motor and the switch. We replace the part that failed and quote the price in writing beforehand.
My burners light unevenly. Is it the spark module?
Not always. Dirty electrodes and misplaced caps are more common. We clean and reseat them, test the spark and replace the module only when it fails.
