What Er 04 means

Er 04 on the Electrolux Wave-Touch and IQ-Touch built-in dishwashers, the EWDW6505G and EIDW6305G, means the drying damper is dead. The damper is a small motorized vent that opens during the drying stage so moist air can leave the tub. If the control cannot get the damper to move, it flags Er 04. This older dishwasher family is still in many kitchens. Dishes may come out damp at the end of the cycle.
