What iB0 means

On Electrolux ICON dishwashers such as the EI24CD35RS and EW24ID80QS, iB0 means the turbidity sensor did not finish its calibration within 15 seconds. The turbidity sensor judges how dirty the water is. When the calibration is not completed, the control falls back to a heavy-soil cycle for safety. The dishwasher keeps running, but cycles take longer and use more water than needed.

Common causes of iB0

  • Turbidity sensor dirty or cloudy
  • Sensor connector or wiring
  • Control board reading
  • Sensor wearing out
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Press Cancel and open the door. 2. Clean the filter and make sure the tub is free of heavy residue. 3. Run a short cycle with nothing in the tub. 4. If iB0 keeps returning, call us.

! Why to stop there
  • A sensor that cannot calibrate may be dirty, worn or badly wired, so we test it directly.
  • We check that the control is reading the sensor correctly.
  • We tell you the price in writing first, and the job carries a 30-day warranty.
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
iB0iB0 questions
Does iB0 stop the dishwasher?

Normally no. It runs a heavy-soil cycle so the dishes still get washed, only with more time and water.

Why does the cycle take longer?

Without a sensor reading the control assumes the dishes are very dirty and plans for the heaviest wash.

Could hard water cloud the sensor?

Mineral film can build up on sensors over time. Regular filter cleaning and a descaling cycle can help, though a worn sensor still needs replacing.
