The E36WV60PPS is the 36-inch version of the Electrolux ICON Professional canopy hood. It has a 600 CFM internal centrifugal blower, two halogen lights above the cooktop and dishwasher-safe stainless steel filters. Electrolux has discontinued it, though many Houston owners still use theirs.
Because the blower is inside the hood, it is reached from below after the filters are removed. We look first for grease on the blower wheel, since even a thin coating throws it off balance. After that we test the motor and the speed control and look at the damper in the duct. The halogen lamps sit close to the stainless and run hot, so we inspect their sockets and wiring for heat damage.
