E48WV12E
Electrolux E48WV12E Icon Canopy Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Blower that rattles or does not start
- Fan control that does not respond
- Lamps that are out or flicker
- Grease-filled filters and a damper that sticks
The E48WV12E is a range hood from the Electrolux Icon line, and E48WV12EPS is a related listing. It is an older model that Electrolux no longer sells, and some Houston kitchens still have one over the cooktop.
Our details on this model come down to its line and type, so we read the width and finish from the label when we arrive instead of assuming them from the number. Once we know what is installed, we work through the usual order for a hood: filters and damper, blower wheel and motor, speed control and lamps. Grease buildup on the wheel and in the duct is the most common reason an older hood gets loud or weak.
Nothing gets ordered until we have read the label. A quote on paper comes before work, our labor is guaranteed for 30 days, and if replacing the hood would be the better spend, we say so.

My E48WV12E turns on but makes a loud rattle. What is the cause?
Often grease on the blower wheel or a loose motor mount. We take the filters out, inspect the wheel and mounts, then test the motor. The quote is yours before we replace anything.
Why is the full label needed for this hood?
The number does not tell us the width, finish or revision. The label gives the full model and serial, and with those we can order a part that fits.
Can an older hood with sticky controls be repaired?
Usually yes. We test the switch, the wiring and the motor, and replace the part that fails. If several parts are worn, we help you compare repair with replacement.
