E30EW85ESS
Electrolux E30EW85ESS Designer Double Oven Repair
Most common issues on this model
- One oven cavity not heating
- Door lock stuck in the upper or lower oven
- Cooling fan wear
- Bake and broil elements
Electrolux made the E30EW85ESS as an E-generation Designer Series double wall oven, 30 inches wide and electric, built as E30EW85ESS1 and ESS2. The Professional twin of this oven is the E30EW85EPS. It is an older model that many Houston homeowners are still baking in, often with one oven used much more than the other.
Uneven use shows up in repairs. The oven that gets all the heat is usually the one with the worn element or sensor, while the other is fine. When one cavity will not heat, we test its bake element and the relay that feeds it. A stuck lock is traced to the lock motor in that cavity. If the cooling fan has begun to wear, it makes a rumble after cooking, and we check it with the oven open.
The ESS1 and ESS2 builds are not identical. We copy the complete plate before ordering parts, agree on a written quote, and guarantee the repair for 30 days.

One oven in my E30EW85ESS will not heat but the other does. Why?
Each oven has its own element, sensor and relay. We test the failed oven's parts one at a time. Since the other oven works, the shared control board is probably fine.
Why does the fan rumble after I finish baking?
The cooling fan runs on after use to cool the electronics. A rumble means a worn bearing or dust on the blades. We clean and test it before suggesting a new motor.
Are the Designer and Professional double ovens the same inside?
They are very similar, with different styling and controls. We still match parts to the exact label number, so a door or panel is the correct one for your oven.
