Why is my freezer cold but the refrigerator section warm?
The freezer makes the cold, and a fan and a damper send part of it into the food section. Ice on the evaporator, a damper that sticks or a tired fan can interrupt that. Keep doors closed and use a cooler for perishables if the section stays warm.
My refrigerator is twelve years old. Should I fix it?
Often, if the cause is a fan, a water valve, a gasket or a sensor. A failed sealed cooling system is harder to justify at that age. We tell you which case you have before you commit to anything.
Why is there water on the floor under the refrigerator?
Frequent sources include a frozen defrost drain, a loose fitting on the dispenser or ice maker line, and a cracked filter housing. Where the puddle appears does not prove where it started, so we trace the water back to its source.
