What i43 / i44 means
On Electrolux built-in dishwashers of the Durham platform, the ICON, EI24CD35, EI24ID30, EI24ID50, EW24ID70 and EW24ID80 models, i43 means the pressure sensor signal has been too high for more than a second, and i44 means it has been too low for that long. The sensor measures water level, and a reading beyond its range tells the control something is wrong with the sensor or what it is reading. The program stops and the number is shown.
Common causes of i43 / i44
- Pressure sensor failing
- Sensor harness damaged or loose
- Blocked or kinked sensor hose
- Actual water level far from normal
1. Open the door and check for standing water in the tub. 2. Clean the glass trap and filter. 3. Run a short cycle and see whether the number appears again. 4. If it does, write down whether it was i43 or i44 and call us.
- The two numbers are opposite readings, so we test the sensor across its range before ordering a part.
- We confirm the actual water level, since a drain or fill problem can imitate a sensor problem.
- You see the price in writing, and we say plainly if it is not worth repairing an older dishwasher.

What does too high or too low mean?
The sensor sends a signal that tells the control the water level. Too high or too low means the signal is outside the normal range.
Is it the same as i41?
No. i41 means no signal. These two mean a signal exists but is out of range. No. i41 means the control is getting no signal at all, while these two mean a signal exists but sits outside the normal range.
Could standing water cause it?
Yes. If water did not drain, the sensor reads high. We check the drain as part of the test. Yes, if water did not drain, the sensor reads high, which is why we always check the drain as part of the sensor test.
