What i60 means
On Electrolux ICON built-in dishwashers such as the EI24CD35RS and EW24ID70QT, i60 is a heating message. During a heated step the water temperature is expected to climb by about one degree Celsius every three minutes, and i60 means it is not keeping up. The cycle usually carries on without heat, so dishes come out wet or greasy. On some models the code only appears in service mode, not on the everyday display.
Common causes of i60
- Heater inside the wash motor assembly
- Temperature sensor reading
- Heater wiring or connector
- Power board relay for the heater
1. Run a hot water tap at the kitchen sink until it is hot, then start the dishwasher right away. 2. Choose a heated cycle and avoid the Rinse program. 3. After the cycle, check whether the dishes are hot to the touch. 4. If they stay cool and i60 comes back, call us.
- A slow rise can mean a weak heater, a bad temperature reading or a control problem, and we separate them with a test.
- We check the heater element in the wash motor assembly.
- You see the price in writing before we start, and the job has a 30-day warranty.
Other Dishwasher codes
Does i60 stop the cycle?
Usually not. The cycle continues without heat, so the dishwasher still runs but the results are poor, especially on grease and dried food.
Will hotter tap water help?
It helps in the short run because the dishwasher starts with warmer water. It does not repair a heater that is not working.
Why do I not see i60 on my display?
On some models the message shows only in service mode. You may just notice cool dishes and a cycle that never gets hot.
Still seeing i60?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
