What SAb / Sb means
SAb in the oven display, or Sb in the cooktop displays, tells you Sabbath mode is on for an Electrolux Wave-Touch or IQ-Touch range, such as the EW30GS65GS. The range then follows a limited set of functions for religious observance, and normal oven settings are restricted. This is a setting and not an error. If you did not mean to turn it on, it can be turned off from the keypad.
Common causes of SAb / Sb
- Sabbath mode was turned on by a key sequence
- A touch key held down by accident while cleaning the control
1. Press and hold HI and LO together for three seconds to leave Sabbath mode. 2. Check that the display returns to the normal clock. 3. Wipe the touch controls dry so no key stays pressed. 4. If SAb stays, call us.
- If SAb returns after you exit, a key may be sticking, and we test the keypad.
- We check that the control accepts other settings normally.

What is the difference between SAb and Sb?
SAb appears in the oven display and Sb appears in the cooktop displays. Both tell you Sabbath mode is on for that part of the range, so they mean the same thing in two places.
How do I turn Sabbath mode off?
Hold the HI and LO keys together for three seconds. If the display does not return to normal after that, wipe the control dry and try once more, then call us if it stays.
Does Sabbath mode mean my oven is damaged?
No. It is a normal feature of the range. It only becomes a repair if it turns itself on without you pressing anything, or if it will not turn off after you exit it.
