What F90-F94 means

On the current touch-screen Electrolux wall ovens, such as the ECWS3011AS and ECWD3012AS, the F90 through F94 codes mean a door lock issue. The screen asks you to press UNLOCK and follow its prompts to get a code that releases the doors and the controls. On the older 2007 wall ovens, only F90 is used, and it points to the door motor mechanism. In both cases the oven may not run or the door may stay locked until the lock is dealt with.

Common causes of F90-F94

  • Door latch motor and mechanism
  • Latch position switch and wiring
  • Oven control board
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Press UNLOCK on the screen and follow the prompts to get the unlock code. 2. If the screen does not respond, switch the oven's breaker off for up to half a minute, then switch it back on. 3. Let the oven cool before you touch the door. 4. If the code returns, call us.

! Why to stop there
  • The codes tell us the lock did not behave, not which part inside it is responsible, so we test the latch, its switch and the control.
  • We check the door for damage or misalignment too.
  • We explain the cost on paper before any repair, and our workmanship is covered for 30 days.
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
F90-F94F90-F94 questions
What does the UNLOCK prompt do?

It walks you through steps that release the doors and the controls so you can get back into the oven. It does not repair the lock itself.

Why are there five codes?

The current touch-screen ovens use F90 to F94 for the same lock problem, so we treat them as one family and check the lock for any of them.

Will it come back?

It can if the lock mechanism is worn. If it returns after you unlock the door, that is the time to call us. We check the latch and its switch so the lock stays reliable.
