We test it with a pan that is known to be magnetic. If that works, the pan is the cause. If not, we check the coil, the zone's power board and the connections. We quote the cost in writing.
Why can I hear a fan under the cooktop of my ECFI3068AS?
Induction electronics get hot, so the fan keeps running after you finish cooking. A loud or rattling fan usually means dust or a worn bearing. We clean it or replace it and quote the work first.
Can a scratch or crack in the glass top be repaired?
A crack means the glass has to be replaced, and we confirm the part by the label. A light scratch is cosmetic and does not need repair. We tell you which one you have before any work.
