Electrolux E30EW75DSS Wall Oven Repair

Most common issues on this model

  1. Cooling fan that squeals or stalls after baking
  2. Lock that holds the door shut after a cleaning cycle
  3. Bake element under the oven floor
  4. Oven sensor that reads off

Electrolux built the E30EW75DSS as an electric single wall oven for the Icon line, 30 inches wide. It is an early Icon oven, the D generation that came before the E and G versions, and a build marked E30EW75DSS1 exists. It is an older model, and plenty of Houston kitchens still use one every week.

Because the oven is set into a wall, heat has to be carried away by a cooling fan, and on an oven this age that fan is a frequent reason for a call. We listen for a squeal or a stall, then clean and test it. The bake element is hidden under the floor, so a cold oven sends us there next. When the door stays shut after a cleaning cycle, the lock motor and its switch get tested.

We read the full plate for the model and revision before ordering parts for an older Icon. The price is written down first, and when the repair is not worth the money we say so.

E30EW75DSSE30EW75DSS questions
My E30EW75DSS door will not open after a cleaning cycle. Can you free it?

Yes. We free the door without damage, then test the lock motor and its switch, which take a beating from cleaning heat. A replacement lock is priced for you before we install it.

The oven fan screeches when I bake. Is the oven in danger?

A noisy cooling fan is a warning, because a fan that stops lets the electronics run hot. We check the fan bearing and dust buildup and replace the motor if it is worn.

Is this early Icon oven still worth repairing?

Often, because many parts for it can still be found. We check the plate, write up the price, and say so if the total comes close to what a new oven would cost.
