EW27EW65PS
Electrolux EW27EW65PS Stainless Oven Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Lower cavity that is slow to preheat
- Wave-Touch panel with dead or ghosting buttons
- Door lock motor that does not release
- Convection fan noise or a fan that will not turn
Electrolux sold the EW27EW65PS as a stainless steel, 27-inch electric double wall oven with a Wave-Touch panel. It was built as the plain PS version and the PSA and PSB builds. Electrolux has discontinued it, though many homeowners still use theirs daily.
Two ovens in one narrow tower keep a lot of heat near the control board and wiring, and the upper oven sits right beneath the panel. We pay attention to heat damage on connectors and to the door gaskets, because worn gaskets let heat reach the panel. On models of this type our first checks are the bake elements, the temperature sensors, the two door locks and the convection fan.
Since the build letter affects parts, we check the label before anything is ordered. The quote comes on paper first, and our labor is guaranteed for 30 days. If an oven this old is not worth the repair, we will say it plainly.

What should I do if some buttons on my EW27EW65PS are dead?
Stop using the oven if it behaves oddly, and call us. We test the panel connector and the touch glass, then the board behind them. Heat near the panel can loosen connectors, so we inspect those first.
Do the PSA and PSB builds need different parts?
They can. Some parts are shared between the two builds and some are not, so we order against the exact letters printed on your label, and we confirm them before any part is ordered.
My oven door will not open after I cleaned it. Is that serious?
Usually it is the door lock motor or its switch, which we can replace. Do not force the door. We confirm the cause, price the repair in writing and fix it with a 30-day warranty.
