Electrolux offered the EI30SM55JS, an over-the-range microwave 30 inches wide, in stainless, with the EI30SM55JB and EI30SM55JW covering other finishes. Not always. The keypad membrane and the control board are separate parts. We test the keypad first, because it costs less and is the more common reason. If the board is the cause, we tell you before ordering.
Why does my microwave hum but not heat?
The hum usually means the magnetron circuit is getting power. We test the diode and capacitor first, then the magnetron itself. If a part fails the test, you see the price in writing before we replace it.
