What E 35 / E 75 means
On Electrolux ICON 36-inch induction cooktops, including the E36IC75FSS, E 35 and E 75 mean the AC voltage reaching the induction electronics is too low. The cooktop would rather stop than run its coils on weak power, so the affected zones shut down and the number shows. It is the opposite condition to the high-voltage numbers, and both E 35 and E 75 describe the same low-voltage finding.
Common causes of E 35 / E 75
- Low line voltage at the cooktop
- Loose or corroded supply connection at the cooktop
- Breaker or wiring in the circuit feeding it
- Filter board input stage
1. Turn all zones off and leave the glass to cool. 2. After a short pause, turn the cooktop's power supply off and on. 3. If the number returns, note whether lights dimmed or other appliances were running at that moment. 4. Call us with the number and that note.
- Low voltage may be a supply issue rather than a cooktop part, so we measure at the cooktop connection first.
- If the supply is healthy, we test the filter board input stage for a reading that is wrong.
- If the cause turns out to be house wiring, we say so, and you are not charged for a cooktop part you do not need.

Can another appliance cause this?
Yes, a heavy load on the same circuit or a weak connection can pull the voltage down. Noting what else was running helps us. An air conditioner or an electric dryer starting up on the same circuit can drag the voltage down for a moment.
Is E 35 worse than E 75?
No, they carry the same meaning. We treat them as one voltage condition. Either number shows the same low-voltage finding, and we do not treat one as more serious than the other when we test.
Will an electrician be needed?
Sometimes the fix is on the house side, and we tell you plainly if that is the case so you can call the right trade.
