What i10 means
The i10 message on Electrolux built-in dishwashers of the Durham platform, the ICON, EI24CD35, EI24ID30, EI24ID50, EW24ID70 and EW24ID80 models is a fill timeout. The dishwasher waited for the tub to fill with water and it did not fill in time. Low water flow is the usual reason, such as a pinched supply line or a shutoff valve that is not fully open. The dishwasher stops the cycle and shows i10, and the dishes stay unwashed.
Common causes of i10
- Water supply shutoff not fully open
- Pinched or kinked supply line
- Clogged inlet screen at the fill valve
- Fill valve not opening
1. Check that the water shutoff under the sink is fully open. 2. Look at the supply line to the dishwasher for a kink or a pinch. 3. Cancel the cycle, or switch the breaker off for five minutes, to clear the message. 4. Start a short cycle. If i10 returns, call us.
- If the supply is open and the line is straight but i10 returns, the fill valve or its inlet screen needs testing.
- We check the household water pressure at the dishwasher.

What does the shutoff valve have to be?
Fully open. A valve turned partway can look fine but cut the flow enough to cause i10. Fully open, because a valve that is only partly open can look fine and still cut the flow enough to cause i10 on this dishwasher.
Does i10 mean a leak?
No. It means water did not come in fast enough. A leak has its own message, i30. No. The message means water did not arrive fast enough, and a leak under the tub is reported by a different message, i30.
Why did it work yesterday?
Water pressure can change, and mineral grit can slowly block the inlet screen. We clean or replace it as needed. House water pressure changes during the day, and fine grit can slowly block the small inlet screen, which we clean or replace as needed.
