What iD0 / iD1 means
In the service mode of Electrolux ICON dishwashers such as the EI24ID50QS and EW24ID80QS, iD0 and iD1 point to a missing tacho signal from the wash motor. The tacho tells the control how fast the motor is spinning. An iD1 is critical and means no signal for five seconds. An iD0 means no signal for 30 seconds, and the motor then runs at full speed with no heating. You may notice only a loud, hot-less wash.
Common causes of iD0 / iD1
- Tacho feedback from the wash motor
- Wash motor wiring or connector
- Motor control board input
- Wash motor winding
1. Cancel the cycle, wait for the dishwasher to stop, then open the door. 2. Clean the filter and check the lower spray arm turns freely. 3. Latch the door and try one short wash. 4. If the wash sounds unusually loud or the dishes come out cold and dirty, call us.
- These codes show in service mode only, so we need to read them there to confirm what the control saw.
- We check the motor feedback and the wiring.
- We quote the repair in writing, and you approve it before work.
Other Dishwasher codes
Why can I not see the code?
These codes appear in service mode, not on the everyday display. What you notice is the dishwasher behavior.
Why does the wash sound loud?
With no speed feedback the motor runs at full speed. That is also why there is no heating.
Is it safe to run?
We suggest you wait for service. Running a pump with no speed control wastes energy and can wear it faster.
Still seeing iD0 / iD1?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
