Electrolux EW30IC60LS Induction Cooktop Repair

Most common issues on this model

  1. Wave-Touch pad that does not respond
  2. Zone that will not heat a pan
  3. Control panel that locks out
  4. Display that beeps or shows an error

The EW30IC60LS is a 30-inch induction cooktop with Wave-Touch controls, and a black version is sold as the EW30IC60LB. Electrolux has discontinued it, but it remains in plenty of kitchens. Because the controls and the heating are both electronic, there is more than one place for a problem to start.

We separate the two. First we clean and dry the glass and check how each pad responds, because the panel decides what the zones do. Then we try a magnetic pan on each zone and listen for the fan. If the pads work but a zone is dead, we look at the zone. If the pads are the problem, we test the panel.

We match every part to the label rather than to the finish, and we give the repair price in writing before ordering. Panels on older induction cooktops can be costly, so we tell you if replacement is the better value. The work we do carries a 30-day guarantee.

EW30IC60LSEW30IC60LS questions
Why does my Wave-Touch panel stop responding?

A panel can stop responding when moisture or residue is on the glass or when the panel itself has worn. On the EW30IC60LS we clean and dry it first, then test the pads and the connection behind them.

Does the black EW30IC60LB use the same parts?

Not always. Finish can change some parts, such as trim or the control panel, so we read the full label on your cooktop before ordering a panel or any zone part.

Can I keep using a cooktop that beeps?

A beeping induction cooktop is reporting something, such as a pan problem, a lock setting or an overheating shutdown. We would look at it before you rely on it, and we can explain what the cooktop is telling us.
