Electrolux wall ovens sit in cabinetry, so they are not easy to move, and the surrounding cabinet affects how heat and airflow behave. Single and double models use baking and broil elements, a convection fan, a lock for the cleaning cycle and a control board with a touch panel.

In Houston homes, the biggest problems come from heat and moisture around the controls, repeated self-clean cycles and a kitchen that is often humid. Grease reaches the door seals and can affect the lock. Power surges after storms can also harm the control board.

We check power to the oven, the elements, the temperature sensor, the door lock and the convection fan, and we compare the oven’s real temperature to its setting. If the oven is older and past its coverage, we give you honest advice on repairing or replacing it.

05Wall Oven questions
My wall oven door will not unlock after cleaning. Why?

After a self-clean cycle the door stays locked until the oven cools, often an hour or longer. If it stays locked once cool, the lock motor or switch may be stuck. We check the lock before forcing anything.

The display works but the oven does not heat. What is wrong?

A working display only proves the control has power. The element, a temperature sensor, a relay or a wiring connection could be the cause. We test each part rather than replacing the control first.

Can an older wall oven still be fixed?

Many can, since elements, sensors and fans are often available. When the touch panel and control board are both failing, replacing may cost more than it is worth, and we explain that before any repair.
