EIDW6405GT
Electrolux EIDW6405GT Panel-Ready Dishwasher Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Door panel that sags, rubs or sits crooked
- Door springs that no longer hold the door
- Leak near the door corners
- Controls that do not respond
The EIDW6405GT is a panel-ready dishwasher with IQ-Touch controls, 24 inches wide and built in. Panel-ready means you attach a cabinet panel to the front so it matches the kitchen. It belongs to the same G generation as the EIDW6105G and EIDW6305G, and the family later became the EIDW6405HT. Electrolux has discontinued it.
The first thing we judge is the door. A cabinet panel is heavier than a standard front, so door springs wear, the door can sag, and the seal gets squeezed at the wrong angle. That is how a leak at the corners begins. After the door we move to the filter, the drain and the controls.
We take care around custom cabinets and countertops while we pull the unit forward. The number on the label is noted before we order, and the G ending lets us separate it from the HT that followed. We quote first, and repairs are warranted for 30 days.

What does panel-ready mean for a repair?
The EIDW6405GT takes a custom cabinet panel on the door. That adds weight, so we check the door springs, hinges and seal, and we protect the panel while we work.
Is the EIDW6405GT the same as the HT?
The HT is the later version of the same family. They are alike, but parts can differ, so we match your label rather than assume.
Why does my dishwasher door sag open?
Worn springs or a heavy custom panel are the common reasons on this model. We test the door balance with the panel on, then adjust or replace the springs so it holds.
