The ELFG7626B is a front-load gas dryer from Electrolux with Perfect Steam, the LuxCare Dry System and an Instant Refresh cycle that revives fabrics without washing. It holds 8.0 cu. ft. and has a 15-minute fast dry. Other endings for the same dryer are ELFG7626BD and ELFG7626BW.
A steam dryer needs water as well as gas and a vent. The Instant Refresh cycle on my ELFG7626B makes no steam. Why?
We begin outside the cabinet. A shut valve, a bent hose or a plugged screen on the inlet can all stop the steam. Only when water arrives do we open the dryer to test the steam parts inside.
What does Predictive Dry mean for repairs?
It is a cycle that relies on sensing, so a dirty sensor or poor airflow can throw the timing off. We clean the sensor bars and check the vent before replacing any electronics on the dryer.
Does a gas steam dryer need two different services?
