ELFG7637BT
Electrolux ELFG7637BT Steam Dryer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Steam cycle water hose and valve
- Gas igniter and valve coils
- Lint around the burner and in the vent
- Sensor-based drying that ends early
The ELFG7637BT is the later B build of the 600 Series gas dryer from Electrolux. It is a front-load dryer with Perfect Steam, LuxCare Dry and an Instant Refresh cycle, and its drum holds 8.0 cu. ft. BT is titanium and BW is white. It pairs with the ELFW7637BT washer.
Since the dryer has a steam cycle, a water hose and supply valve sit behind it next to the gas connection and vent. If Instant Refresh produces no steam, we check that water is reaching the dryer before opening the cabinet. If the dryer runs without heat, we test the igniter and gas valve coils. Loads that come out damp usually lead us to the lint in the burner area or a restricted vent.
Our parts order starts with the tag on the door frame, which separates the A build from this B build. We quote in writing before we begin, and workmanship is covered for 30 days.

Is the ELFG7637BT different from the ELFG7637AT?
Yes. The B is a later build, and it adds the Perfect Steam cycle with Instant Refresh. Some parts differ between the two builds, which is why we check the label before ordering anything.
Why would the steam cycle stop working?
Most often water is not reaching the dryer: a closed valve, a bent hose or a clogged inlet screen. We check those first. If water arrives, we move on to the steam parts inside the cabinet.
How do I know if a repair on this dryer is worth it?
We give a written price before any work, and we say plainly if the cost approaches a replacement. Igniter, valve coil and sensor repairs are usually reasonable on a dryer in good shape.
