What E35 means
An overfill is what E35 reports on an Electrolux Wave-Touch or IQ-Touch front-load washer such as the EWFLW65HIW, EIFLW55HIW, EFLS627UTT or ELFW7637AT. The pressure sensor reads more water than the washer should hold, or water that keeps coming in. Extra water can spill onto the floor. Older washers like these are still common in Houston, and we repair them and tell you honestly if a repair is not worth it. After a recent installation or move, check the setup first.
Common causes of E35
- An inlet valve that keeps letting water in
- A clogged or leaking air trap
- The pressure sensor
- The main control board
1. Close both water faucets to the washer. 2. Press Cancel to clear the code. Press Start only if the tub is not taking in more water. 3. Unplug the washer for a minute, then plug it back in. 4. After a new installation or a move, ask the installer to recheck the setup. If E35 comes back, call us.
- A valve, an air trap and a sensor can all cause an overfill, so we test them one by one.
- We make sure no standing water remains in the washer.
- You hear the price before any part is ordered, and our workmanship is warranted for 30 days.
Other Washer codes
Is E35 a danger to my floor?
It can be, since extra water may spill. Close both faucets, unplug the washer and do not leave it running while you are out of the house.
Why would a washer keep taking in water?
The inlet valve may be stuck open, the air trap may be clogged, or the pressure sensor may be misreading. We test each one to find the cause.
Is it fine to run another load after Cancel?
Cancel clears the code, but if E35 returns the cause is still there. Keep the washer off and call us rather than risk an overflow.
