Washer Repair in Houston
Electrolux front-load washers are built for efficient cleaning and often sit stacked with a dryer. We repair draining, spinning, door lock, odor and leak problems on newer and older washers across the Houston area.
Common washer problems we fix
In the order we see them across Houston homes.
Water still sitting in the drum at the end
Loud banging or shaking during spin
Door locked and will not open
Error code appearing mid-cycle
Water leaking from the door or hoses
Sour smell from the drum or gasket
Electrolux front-load washers use a horizontal drum, a door seal and a drain pump, with an electronic control that reads sensors. They are efficient but sensitive to leveling, loading and detergent, and many are stacked with a matching dryer in a closet or utility room.
Houston humidity is a major factor. Door gaskets stay damp and grow mildew, detergent residue builds up in the drawer, and drain filters collect lint, coins and hair. Hard water adds scale to hoses and valves. A washer that sat unused during a summer trip can develop odor quickly.
We check leveling, the door lock, the drain pump and hoses, the water inlet and the gasket, plus any code on the display. If the washer is older and out of warranty, we tell you plainly which option gives better value.

Why does water remain in my front-load washer?
A packed pump filter, a bent drain hose or a clogged standpipe are the usual suspects. Check the pump filter, which is usually behind a small door at the bottom front, and place a towel under it first.
Why does my washer smell sour?
Damp left in the door gasket and detergent drawer grows mildew in humid homes. Wipe the gasket, prop the door open between loads and measure detergent carefully. A persistent smell may point to a drain problem.
Is a ten-year-old front-load washer worth fixing?
Frequently, for a pump, a door lock, a hose or a seal. A failed drum bearing or a cracked tub on an older machine may cost more than it is worth, and we say so before any work.
