EWFLS65I
Electrolux EWFLS65I Wave-Touch Washer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Steam valve and supply
- Wave-Touch control response
- Drain pump and filter
- Bearings and suspension
The EWFLS65I is a legacy Wave-Touch steam washer with a 4.4 cubic foot drum and a 27-inch width. The series number covers five finishes, EWFLS65IIW, EWFLS65IMB, EWFLS65IRR, EWFLS65ISS and EWFLS65ITS. Production has ended, but plenty of these still run daily across Houston.
With Wave-Touch controls and Perfect Steam, we look at the electronic and the water sides. A dead or sluggish display sends us to the wiring behind the panel. When steam fails we check the supply and valve. We also check the drain filter and pump and, on an older drum, the bearings and suspension.
Five finishes share one series number, so the nameplate decides which parts apply. You see the estimate on paper first. If repairing an older steam washer is not worth the money, we say so honestly.

How many finishes does the EWFLS65I come in?
The series covers five finishes: EWFLS65IIW, EWFLS65IMB, EWFLS65IRR, EWFLS65ISS and EWFLS65ITS. We write down the nameplate numbers so the right part arrives for your washer's build.
The display will not wake up. What happens next?
We check power and the panel connection first, then the control board. A loose connector can look like a failed board, so we confirm the cause by testing before we quote a part in writing.
Does an aging steam washer deserve a repair?
Often, if the drum and bearings are in good shape. We look at those first, give you a written price and an honest opinion, and you decide whether the repair makes sense for the age of the washer.
