What SU dS means

SU dS means the washer detected oversudsing on Electrolux front-load washers such as the EWFLW65HIW, EIFLW55HIW, EFLS627UTT and ELFW7637AT. To clear it, the washer adds extra rinses, each one about five minutes, and it can add up to four. You will see SU dS on the display and the cycle will run longer. On the Wave-Touch LCD, if the suds do not clear, the message changes to TOO MUCH DETERGENT.

Why does my cycle take so long?

Extra rinses are being added to clear the suds, about five minutes each, and up to four of them. That makes the cycle longer than normal, but the washer is only doing what it should.

What is the fix?

Use less HE detergent and run an empty Quick Wash to clear residue from the machine. Most of the time that is all it takes, and no repair is needed.

Is it dangerous?

No, but too many suds can leave clothes soapy and the rinse water cloudy. If it happens often with very little soap, call us and we will check the sensors.
