What E67 means
E67, called a Heaters Sensing Failure, shows on Electrolux Wave-Touch and IQ-Touch dryers such as the EIED55HIW, EIGD55HIW, EWED65HSS and EWMED65HIW. The service chart blames the control board: the part that watches the heater circuit is not reporting correctly. The heater itself may be fine. The dryer stops or will not start a heated cycle.
Common causes of E67
- Control board heater-sensing circuit
- Connector between board and heater circuit
1. Close the door and press Start once. 2. Clean the lint screen. 3. Do not run repeated cycles if the code returns. 4. Call us with the exact code.
- The chart points to the board, but we confirm the heater and wiring first so we do not replace the wrong part.
- We retest after any repair to confirm the code is gone.
- You approve a written price before work.
Other Dryer codes
Is my heater burned out?
Not necessarily. E67 is about the board's sensing, not a direct heater reading.
Why is the board blamed?
The heater sensing circuit lives on it, and aging boards can drift. On older dryers that is common.
Is this repair worth doing?
Often yes. If not, we say so plainly.
