EFMC427UIW
Electrolux Perfect Steam EFMC427UIW Electric Dryer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Dryer with no heat
- Steam cycle that does nothing
- Cycle that ends before clothes are dry
- Drum noise as it turns
The EFMC427UIW is a white front load Perfect Steam electric dryer with an 8.0 cubic foot drum and 7 cycles. It is an older model that is no longer on sale, with revisions UIW0, UIW1 and UIW2 on record. Many of them are still drying loads in Houston homes.
We split the job in two. For heat and drying time, we check the vent, the lint path, the element and the safety parts, as on any electric dryer. For steam, we check the water connection and whatever feeds it. A cycle that ends early gets the sensors and the controls tested, and drum noise gets a look at rollers and the belt.
Three revisions mean three chances of getting the wrong part, so the label comes first. We are happy to tell you if repair is not worth it, and we give a price before work starts. Our repairs carry a 30-day warranty.

Why does my dryer stop before clothes are dry?
Sensors reading the load, a vent restriction or a controls problem can end a cycle early. We check airflow first, then the sensors on the EFMC427UIW.
What are UIW0, UIW1 and UIW2?
They are revisions of the same EFMC427UIW dryer. Some parts differ among them, so we read the label and match your revision to the part we order for it.
Is the steam cycle essential for repair work?
No. Steam is an added feature. We can repair heating and drum issues separately, and we tell you if a steam problem is worth fixing on an older unit.
