The EFMG627UTT is the gas partner of the EFME627UTT, a front-load dryer with PredictiveDry, Instant Refresh and Perfect Steam in an 8.0 cu. ft. drum. UTT stands for titanium. Electrolux no longer sells it, but older ones are still working in Houston closets, utility rooms and garages.
A PredictiveDry gas dryer is a mix of sensing and combustion, so a short or cold cycle can come from either side. We clean and check the sensor bars, then watch the ignition, valve and flame, and finally measure airflow through the exhaust. The steam hose and its valve are the other thing we look at when steam cycles are skipped.

Why does PredictiveDry end my cycle too soon?
The dryer relies on moisture readings, so coated sensor bars or poor airflow can fool it. We clean the bars, check the vent and then test the burner so heat and sensing agree.
My EFMG627UTT clicks but there is no flame. What happens next?
We test the igniter and the gas valve coils, and confirm gas is reaching the burner. A weak igniter often glows but fails to open the valve, which is why we measure both.
Can I run steam without the water hose connected?
Dry cycles can run, but steam features need the supply. If the hose is off, closed or kinked, steam cycles are skipped, and reconnecting it is often the whole fix.
