EIMGD60LSS
Electrolux EIMGD60LSS Steam Dryer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Igniter and valve operation
- Gas connector and shutoff
- Steam water supply
- Vent and airflow
The EIMGD60LSS is a 27-inch gas front-load dryer with IQ-Touch controls and steam, finished in LSS. It is the gas partner of the EIFLS60LSS washer. Electrolux has discontinued it, so any one we see is an older machine, often in a Houston home where the washer and dryer have been side by side for years.
Our order of checks on a gas steam dryer is simple. First we confirm the burner lights and holds. Then we inspect the gas connector and shutoff. After that we measure the vent, and finally we follow the water line to the steam function. The touch panel is tested if the buttons or cycle selections do not respond.
We always check the rating plate before ordering parts, and you approve the cost before we start. Our labor is guaranteed for 30 days. A gas smell means shutting the valve and calling your gas company first.

Does the EIFLS60LSS washer need service at the same time?
Not necessarily. It is the matching washer, but the dryer repair stands alone. If both are acting up, we can look at each during one visit.
What happens if my gas dryer does not ignite?
We test the igniter and valve coils, confirm gas reaches the burner and clear any vent restriction that tripped the limiter. Then we run a full cycle to check the heat holds.
What does LSS refer to?
It is the finish code of this build. It affects trim and console parts, so we confirm it on the label with the model and serial number.
